Guidelines for CPD Awards

  

Ø      Open to any UK registered veterinary surgeon, qualified veterinary nurse and group of veterinary surgeons.

 

Ø     Particularly aimed at those in remote/single handed practice, those returning to practice following illness or career breaks and those vets in internship posts

 

Ø      Applicants to provide a description of the proposed CPD including:-

 

o       a statement of aims and objectives

o       a detailed outline budget with an estimate or an account of the costs

o       a clear sense of the outcome of the CPD for which support is sought

o       relevance of the CPD to their professional needs

o       details of the expected benefits of the CPD

 

Ø     Successful applicants will be required to produce a report on the CPD experienced which may be used as publicity by Vet Trust.  The report should emphasise the clinical aspects of the CPD and the benefits gained to the applicant/practice rather than a travel-log reflection.

 

Ø      Grants may be offered for travel assistance, registration fee, locum fee or other specific requests

 

Ø      Full or partial funding may be awarded at the discretion of the directors.  90% of award paid on confirmation and 10% on report submission.

 

Ø      Award applications shall be circulated to the directors for consideration.

 

Ø      Closing date for application is 15th November in the year of application.

 

Ø      Applicants will be advised of allocations in December.
